About

Meet the biggest waterfall in the whole Ilocos Region! Pinsal Falls drops about 85 feet in two wide curtains into a turquoise river ringed by limestone cliffs, and you can see the whole show from the viewing deck the moment you arrive. Walk down the concrete steps to the lower pool for a swim, or rent a bamboo raft and float right up to the thundering base. Local legend says a hollow in the rocks is the footprint of the giant Angalo. It's an easy detour from Vigan, so pair it with the UNESCO-listed Santa Maria Church on the hill in town. Come in the morning when the water is calm and clear, and note that climbing to the top of the falls is not allowed.
