About this spot

One of four Baroque Churches of the Philippines on the UNESCO World Heritage list, Paoay Church is famous for its massive coral-stone and brick buttresses, built in the 1700s to withstand earthquakes. The separate bell tower and golden-hued facade make it striking at any hour, and it is especially beautiful lit up at night. Grab Ilocos empanada or kakanin from the stalls nearby and continue to the Paoay Sand Dunes.
