• Weather: check PAGASA forecasts and typhoon bulletins. Skip beaches, boats, rivers, falls and hikes when a storm signal or heavy rain warning is up.
• Water: swim only where it is allowed, ideally with a lifeguard. Wear a life vest on boats. Watch for strong currents and sudden river surges.
• Hikes: register with the local tourism office, hire an accredited guide where required, bring water, start early and turn back if the weather turns.
• Volcanoes: follow PHIVOLCS alert levels. Never enter a Permanent Danger Zone or a closed trail.
• Respect closures, private property, sacred sites and local rules.
