About this spot

Zambales' highest peak, also called High Peak, known for its old chromite-mining road that winds up through grasslands into a mossy pine forest near the summit, rare at this low latitude. It is a long but non-technical trek, popular as a test of endurance and for camping among pines with cold nights. Not for casual visitors, but a bucket-list hike for Luzon mountaineers.
