Calaguas Islands (Mahabang Buhangin)
About
Bicol's postcard island, and worth every hour of the trip! Mahabang Buhangin, the 'long sand' of Calaguas, is a sweeping curve of powdery white beach on Tinaga Island, with clear turquoise water in front and grassy green hills behind. There are no resorts with pools or big hotels here, just tents, simple cottages, sunsets and stars. Climb the hill behind the beach for the famous view, then hop to Balagbag Island and the sandbars nearby. Camp a night and wake up to an empty shore!
