About this spot
After dark, a small boat glides quietly along the mangrove-lined river while thousands of fireflies blink in sync on the trees, like natural Christmas lights. It is calm, magical and a perfect pairing with a whale-shark day. Tours are small (about four guests per boat), so it feels intimate. Skip bright flashlights and flash photography to keep the fireflies, and the experience, intact.
