House of Dakay
About
The oldest stone house in Batanes, and it's still standing proud! The House of Dakay was built in 1887 from lime and stone, with walls thick enough to shrug off typhoons and a heavy cogon roof. It's the classic Ivatan home you see on every Batanes postcard, sitting right by the road in Ivana. Snap your photo by the stone fence, then walk a few steps to the Honesty Coffee Shop!
