About this spot

Baler's historic core, where Spanish soldiers held out in the church for almost a year in the famous 1898–1899 Siege of Baler, unaware that the war had ended. The restored church and the nearby Museo de Baler tell the story along with exhibits on Aurora's culture, surf history and President Manuel Quezon, a native of Baler. A short, meaningful stop to balance beach days.
