About this spot
Zamboanga's pride: a beach of soft pink sand, made from crushed red organ-pipe coral mixed with white sand, named by National Geographic in 2017 among the world's best beaches. It's a protected landscape, so trips are booked through the Paseo del Mar tourism office with a short briefing first, and no sand, shells or corals may leave the island. Swim, walk the sandbar, and see the lagoon and Sama Banguingui village.
