Borawan Island
About
Borawan got its name from Boracay plus Palawan, and one look explains why! Bright sand meets tall limestone rocks and clear Tayabas Bay water, all just a short boat ride from Padre Burgos. Swim in the calm cove, climb around the rock formations for photos, and kayak along the cliffs. Pitch a tent for the night or rent a cottage, then wake up to a quiet sunrise over the bay. Make it a full island-hopping day by adding Dampalitan Island, with its long beach lined with pine trees, plus Puting Buhangin and the swim-through cave of Kwebang Lampas. Bring cash and food from town, since stores on the island are few.
