About this spot

One of the country's most famous waterfalls, officially now called Cavinti Falls but still known to everyone as Pagsanjan Falls. The classic trip is a banca ride upstream through a dramatic gorge, with skilled boatmen pushing the boat over rapids, then a bamboo raft that takes you right under the thundering cascade. The 'shooting the rapids' ride back down is the highlight. Some tours now start from the Cavinti side via a stairway trail.
