Higatangan Island

About

A white sandbar that changes direction with the seasons! Higatangan's famous strip of powder sand curls out from the island's tip into turquoise water, shifting east or west with the monsoon. On the far side, wild limestone rock formations and cliffs face the open sea, and locals point the brave to a cliff-jumping spot. Hire a boat from Naval or stay the night!

What to do here

  • Walk out to the tip of the shifting sandbar
  • Explore the rock formations and cliffs on the west side
  • Island-hop to Sambawan the same day
