Nasugbu Trilogy Hike (Mt. Lantik, Mt. Talamitam, Mt. Apayang)

No car needed

About

Three grassy summits in one long day! The Nasugbu Trilogy links Mt. Lantik, Mt. Talamitam and Mt. Apayang in Barangay Aga, Batangas, and the ridgeline views stretch all the way to Taal Volcano and the Lubang Islands. The full circuit takes 5 to 7 hours and is rated a minor climb (4/9), so the real boss here is the sun, not the slope. Start at dawn on Lantik, cross the rolling grassland of Talamitam, then finish on Apayang, the highest of the three at 662 MASL. A local guide is required, so book one at registration and split the fee with your group. Pack at least 3 liters of water each, because there is no water source on the trail!

  • Dry until sunset (5:35 PM). Good time to go!

Know before you go

Heat exhaustion is the main risk: the ridges have almost no shade, so start early and carry at least 3 liters of water.

Bring gloves for the short rock scramble near the summit.

Never hike without a registered guide; barangay tanods turn back hikers who skip registration.

If driving, set your map to “Mt. Talamitam Jump-off” or Bayabasan Elementary School; parking near the jump-offs is about ₱50–₱100 (2026).

Registration is ₱50 per head for Mt. Lantik and ₱50 per head for Talamitam/Apayang, plus a ₱30 trilogy surcharge. The required guide costs ₱1,500–₱2,100 per group for the full circuit (LakbayPinas, June 2026).

Pack at least 3 liters of water each, because there is no water source on the trail!
