Sambawan Island

About

Biliran's answer to paradise! Sambawan is made up of two main islands with grassy hills, white sand and super clear water. Trek up the hill for the best view of the island, with the thin beach strip below and Maripipi Island across the water, then snorkel or dive right off the shore since a dive camp operates on the island. It is still low-key compared with big-name beaches, so you get space to chill. Stay overnight for sunrise and sunset from the hilltops if you can. Bring your own food and water, take all trash back with you, and check the weather with your boatman before crossing.
