Malabrigo Lighthouse (Faro de Punta de Malabrigo)

No car needed

About

A Spanish-era lighthouse on a cliff above the Verde Island Passage! Malabrigo Lighthouse was lit in 1896 and still guides ships today, and its restored white keeper's house, red roof and octagonal tower make one of the prettiest heritage scenes in Batangas. Walk the grassy grounds, take in the sea view toward Mindoro, then head down to the pebble beach below for a dip. Entry is free, and weekends fill up with photographers chasing that golden-hour shot. Worth the bumpy ride!

FAQ

Is there an entrance fee?

No. Visiting the grounds is free, and donations for upkeep are welcome.

Can I go up the tower?

Not always. The lighthouse is still run by the Philippine Coast Guard, and tower access depends on the caretakers that day; the grounds and views are the main draw.

Is there a beach nearby?

Yes. Malabrigo's pebble beach is just below and a few minutes away.
