Kaway'an EcoPark

About

Bamboo like you have never seen it! Kaway'an EcoPark is the only Philippine spot on TIME's World's Greatest Places 2026 list, and one look at the Marilag Grand Pavilion tells you why. Giant bamboo columns rise like a forest, and the curvy Marahuyo Bridge arches over a calm lagoon. Rent a boat, ride one of the gentle horses rescued after the 2020 Taal eruption, try fishing, or just spread a picnic mat on the lawns and chill. It is about 90 minutes from Manila, so it makes an easy day trip for families, couples and barkadas. Entry is only ₱150 for a full day! Tip: come on a Friday or weekend for the 7 AM opening, when the light is soft and the bamboo glows. Remember, it is closed on Mondays.
