Montemaria Shrine and Miracle Walk
About
Look up, way up! The Mother of All Asia Tower of Peace at Montemaria stands 98 meters tall above Batangas Bay, and it is the tallest statue of the Virgin Mary in the world. Ride the elevator to the view deck inside her clasped hands for a huge sweep of Verde Island and the Mindoro coast. Then test your nerves on the Miracle Walk, the country's first glass walkway, 118 meters long and 45 meters above the hillside. The shrine grounds, chapels and Rosary Garden are free to roam, so come early, walk the Way of the Cross while it is cool, and save the glass walk for the golden light. Bring cash, because the site does not take cards!
