About this spot
Sagada's most famous caving adventure. With a licensed local guide and a gas lamp, you climb down slippery limestone, rope your way along rock faces and wade through cold pools to reach formations nicknamed the King's Curtain, the Rice Terraces and more. Expect to go barefoot in parts and get soaked. Stronger adventurers do the 'Cave Connection' from Lumiang Burial Cave through to Sumaguing, a longer and tougher route.

From Manila, take a direct Coda Lines bus to Sagada (around 12 hours) or a bus to Baguio then a GL Trans/Lizardo bus from Dangwa terminal (around 5–6 hours). Register at the Sagada Tourist Information Center, which arranges guides and shuttle to the cave.

Parking near the cave entrance area along the road to Ambasing; most use shuttle vans from town.

Mahirap ba ang Sumaguing Cave?
Moderate siya. May madulas na bato at tubig, pero kaya ng beginners na may guide. Mas mahirap ang Cave Connection.
Do I need a guide?
Yes, accredited guides are required and are arranged through the Tourist Information Center.
Ano ang dapat isuot?
Clothes you can get wet, sandals with grip or go barefoot, and bring a waterproof bag for your phone.
