About this spot

The highest mountain in the Philippines at around 2,954 meters, a dormant volcano and a bucket-list climb for Filipino hikers. Multi-day trails pass mossy forests, sulfur vents, boulder fields and the summit crater, with sea-of-clouds sunrises if you're lucky. You'll need permits, accredited guides and porters, and trails sometimes close for rehabilitation, so book well ahead through the official trail offices.
