Balay Negrense Museum
About
The 1898 Victor Fernandez Gaston ancestral house, opened in 1990 as the first museum in Negros Occidental. Original hardwood floors, beveled-glass windows and carved latticework show how a sugar baron's family lived at the height of the hacienda era. Silay has dozens of recognized ancestral houses, so walk the streets around it afterward and drop by El Ideal for pies.
