About this spot

A towering memorial cross atop Mt. Samat honoring Filipino and American soldiers who fought in the Battle of Bataan in World War II. Below it, the colonnade and museum tell the story of the fall of Bataan and the Death March. Take the elevator up into the cross's arms for a sweeping view of Manila Bay, Corregidor and the Bataan peninsula. Especially meaningful on Araw ng Kagitingan, April 9.
