About this spot

A specialty cafe inside a 400-year-old water cistern na nakaligtas sa WWII bombing? Yes, that's Papakape. It's tucked at the far end of Fort Santiago near the dungeons, small inside with a shaded al fresco area and a resident cat named Tiago. The menu leans proudly Filipino: Black Gulaman Americano with pandan arnibal, Bibingkaccino with coconut milk and torched cheese, plus tablea cupcakes and red bean suman. Bike-friendly with proper racks, so it's the perfect pit stop after a Bambike ride or a fort walk.
