About this spot

Para kang nag-museum date habang nagkakape. 1919 Grand Cafe sits inside a restored century-old bank building on Juan Luna Street, where HSBC opened its first Philippine office. High ceilings, vintage interiors and framed old photos of Binondo set the mood. The menu mixes Western and Chinese-Filipino dishes, from truffle pasta to dumplings, plus cakes and coffee; the taro cake is a popular pasalubong. It's a calm, aircon break from the Chinatown crowds and a strong pick for a heritage-themed date.
