About this spot
Tayabas, a former provincial capital, is anchored by its massive key-shaped Minor Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel, one of the longest Spanish-era churches in the country. Nearby, the 1831 Casa Comunidad stone house and a cluster of old chapels make for a rewarding heritage walk. Locals also take pride in lambanog (coconut liquor), budin (cassava cake) and other Quezon delicacies sold around the plaza.
