About this spot
The lone belfry of a 16th-century Franciscan church buried by Mayon's 1814 eruption, standing in a park with the near-perfect cone of Mayon Volcano rising behind it. It is the most iconic view in Bicol. Right beside the ruins, operators run ATV rides across lahar trails and river beds toward Mayon's foot, from short loops to longer 'black lava' routes. Go early for the clearest view before clouds cover the summit.
