About this spot

Two crater lakes, Balinsasayao and Danao, hidden in thick montane rainforest about an hour from Dumaguete. Rent a kayak or bamboo raft to paddle across the misty, glassy water, walk the forest trails, and watch for birds. The air is cool, and early mornings feel almost mystical. A floating restaurant serves simple meals and coffee.
