About this spot
A small volcanic island and one of the world's most celebrated community-run marine sanctuaries. Snorkel just off the beach and you'll likely swim alongside green sea turtles grazing on seagrass, then float over vibrant coral gardens full of fish. Divers rate its walls among the best in the country. Day trips leave from Malatapay or Dauin, about 30-45 minutes by boat. Follow the rules: don't touch or chase turtles.
