About this spot

Bacolod is the home of chicken inasal, and Manokan Country is where locals eat it: a row of open-air stalls grilling chicken marinated in calamansi, lemongrass and annatto over charcoal. Order paa (leg) or pecho (breast), drizzle the chicken oil over your rice, and mix your own sawsawan of soy, vinegar and calamansi. Unlimited rice is common. Cheap, smoky and essential.
