Mount Arayat
About
The lone volcano rising from the flat Central Luzon plains, wrapped in legends of the diwata Mariang Sinukuan. Trails from Arayat and Magalang climb through forest to the South Peak, with wide views over rice fields and, on clear days, as far as Pinatubo. It is a solid day hike close to Manila, and the national park at its foot has springs and picnic areas for a lighter visit.
