About this spot
One of Luzon's great adventures: a rugged 4x4 ride across vast lahar fields and canyons left by the 1991 eruption, followed by a trek to the crater rim and the turquoise Lake Pinatubo. The moonscape scenery is unlike anywhere else in the country, and the lake's color changes with the light. Trips start before dawn, usually from Clark/Angeles or Capas. Access and swimming rules change, so book with an accredited tour.
