Top 6 Date Spots in Boracay

  1. 1

The powdery white strip that made Boracay world-famous! Station 1 is wider and more upscale, Station 2 is the busy heart with restaurants, bars and D'Mall, and Station 3 is calmer and more budget-friendly. Swim in the morning when the water is glassy, walk the beach path at sunset as paraw sailboats glide past, then enjoy dinner and drinks along the strip. In 2024, a US magazine ranked it among the world's most beautiful white-sand beaches. Come November to May for the calmest water.

  2. 2

The most Boracay thing to do at golden hour! Hop on a paraw, a traditional Filipino outrigger sailboat, and sit on the netting while it glides along White Beach as the sky turns orange and pink. With nothing but wind in the sail, it's quiet, breezy and very photogenic. Rides usually last 30 minutes to an hour, and the boatmen are pros at taking your photos. Sunset slots are the most popular, so book ahead or arrive early to pick a boat on the beach. Best moment: the last half hour before sunset, with your partner or friends and the water splashing up through the net.

  3. 3

Boracay's relaxed side! Puka Shell Beach sits on the island's northern shore, a short e-trike ride from White Beach, and feels a world away from the Station 2 crowds. The sand is coarser, made of crushed shells, and the water is a deep turquoise with livelier waves. There are just a couple of restaurants and vendors selling drinks and ice cream, so it stays calm even on busy days. It's also a common stop on island-hopping tours. Bring cash and come in the morning.

  4. 4

Boracay beauty, minus the crowds! Diniwid Beach is a small cove just north of White Beach Station 1, reached by a footpath that winds around the rocky headland. The sand is the same fine white and the water just as clear, with a fraction of the people. A few relaxed bars and boutique resorts line the shore, the swimming is calm, and it faces west for sunset. Walk over in the afternoon, swim, and stay for the golden hour.

  5. 5

Boracay's most famous photo spot, right off Station 1! Willy's Rock is a volcanic rock formation topped by a small Virgin Mary grotto, sitting in the shallow turquoise water of White Beach. At low tide you can wade right up to it and climb the little steps for a closer look. Come early morning to have it almost to yourself, or at sunset for the classic silhouette shot, then take a slow walk along Station 1's wide, powdery sand.

  6. 6

The highest point of Boracay, with a view deck looking over the whole island, its coves and the nearby islets. It's a short ride inland from White Beach, and the view is especially nice in the morning when skies are clear. Not a long hike, just some steps after the e-trike drop-off. Nice add-on when you've had enough beach time.
